Cetirizine (Zyrtec)

Action

  • Blocks peripheral H1 histamine receptors and decreases allergic inflammation symptoms.

  • Itching related to allergic symptoms

  • Monitor for drowsiness, fatigue, dry mouth, and fall risk in sensitive clients.
